This is my sixth year in Kelowna, Canada after moving here from Japan. I have finally gotten used to driving on the right hand side of the road and listening to Canadian jokes! Three years ago I was invited by a friend to sell my hand made bead jewelry at a week-end market. It was the trigger that propelled me from the world of tiny beads into a huge universe of excitement. Spreading beads out onto the table - running into the coincidence of color-matching absorbs me so much. I like to create intimate jewelry that I can wear everyday, sort of like jeans. It's special, but casual at the same time. I just can't leave my design desk. My head is filled up with my work. I certainly appreciate my family - my husband hasn't complain about the dinner being late, my kids have been very busy chasing beads across the floor!
